Casting, it is something all of us dancers fear. Why is it so scary, it is because it determines what role you will be playing in a show, and it could depend on your future. First of all, remember no matter what you get cast put your best foot forward, and make sure all that you care about is dancing. It doesn't matter if you are in four scenes or ten, just be confident in what you are doing and believe in yourself.
Got cast the lead? That is awesome, you are in a principal spot. Don't go around bragging about it, tell a few people once and you are done. Don't lie to someone if they ask you about it, just say oh yeah I got the lead.
Got cast as an understudy for an apprentice role? It is alright, take a deep breath and calm down. Show whoever cast you as that your stuff and be the best understudy possible. Always do the steps full out, and be confident.
